I believe our Club is a great example of a group of like-
Contrary to the almost accepted image of Rotary we work on a very informal basis to help other people and charities. The cement that holds our efforts together is the friendship that our club engenders.
Our major community event and fundraiser is our ‘Music in the Park’ Concert at Carew Manor, Beddington, now in its 18th year. The Concert has raised over £250,000 for local charities and is always guaranteed to send people home with a smile on their faces.
Examples of our other ongoing projects are:
‘Top of the Form’, a knock-
‘Harvest Festival’ where we collect food donations from local schools to send to Romanian orphanages.
Solar Powered Hearing Aids, invented by one of our Members, which have been exported to Ghana.
A ‘Charity Fair’ where we invite 35 – 50 small local charities to set up their stall in the Public Hall, Wallington – and much, much more.
All this is achieved with a very active Social Calendar which has events from BBQs to Tribute evenings, parties to Dinner Dances. To find out more contact us on 0844 870 0803 or email our Membership Secretary.
