

Ken Jarvis, the chairman of the International Committee, proudly announces a varied programme of events. These are fund raisers involving the Club Members and the wider Community, as well as positive action by our members in helping those less fortunate around the globe.
EVENTS
NIGHTINGALES
An evening at Nightingales Restaurant, Carshalton College. The invitation to be extended outside of our own Club, and to hopefully get in excess of 50 people to support the event. The cost is to be around the £20 per head mark. The event would take place in early March.’09.
B B Q
Was held in August ’08 at the chairmans house. This was Open to Club Members and Guests. The cost for this event was £10 per head, which included Food and Drinks. The profit from this goes to Rotary Foundation.
ANTIQUES VALUATION
We are holding a Valuation Road Show at Wallington Hall, in the new year.
HARVEST FESTIVAL
We are looking to get this event back on board after a short break. Contact is to be made with all the schools, and hopefully they will help us with the event again.
An Aid Agency has been found in the form of The Romanian Aid Foundation, replacing our previous Romanian Project.
The ‘ROAF’ have their own transport, with definite dates for the transportation to Romania.
We will approach Burton & Smith with regard to the storage container.
HEARING AIDS
We will continue to pursue the good work Mike Keen has done, with regard to other Clubs distributing the Hearing Aids through our Club. See the SoundSeekers website

We will continue to forge relations with our Dutch friends, and hopefully they will invite us over at some stage next year.
